Have been a user for a long time. We use it on every road trip. Love, love it. Very easy to use.

This app appeals to every nerdy atom in my body. We are finding off beat "attractions" and going to different grocery stores just to explore our own city! Love it

Thrilled to find out that the Roadside America website had an app, and just in time for my cross-country move! Love the app and all the offbeat attractions. Although I initially balked at spending the $2.99 for the app/1 region and then $5.99 for the remaining 6 regions, its clear that the money goes to keeping information up to date and the app working smoothly - something I hope continues with future updates. Two additional features Id like to see with the app include the option for setting a date and recording a short note to record when youve "been there!" so that youve got a record of fun journeys! Another feature would be selection/saving attractions and then creating a route - something thats available online (sort of) but would be super easy given that the app can already export locations to waze/Google/etc. still, 5 stars!!!

We love this app! My husband and I are retired and living in an RV. As we travel across the country, we use the app all the time. You never know what you are going to find. :)

Great travel companion

Ive used the webpage version of this application for years, and its been a priceless aid in finding the coolest and most interesting attractions on my travels. Now I can use it to search by area, or use my location to surprise me with whats nearby. Fantastic app for the traveler that has interest in funky, offbeat places.

Ive used it during planning every road trip weve taken since purchasing full app. Definitely worth it!

I tell everyone about roadside America. I cant stress enough how much I love this app. Ease of use, all of the interesting places to visit. If you love to road trip, this is a must have.

Adds a nice bizarre twist on all our family vacations. Seen such great oddities that we never couldve known about without this app. Definitely enhances the trek. Kudos to those who created it and those who keep adding awesome stuff!

Im a cheapskate but couldnt help unlocking all regions after I saw all the use I was getting out of the app just in California. Great work!

This app is lighter (and cheaper) than lugging around the print book. It is also more (mostly) up to date on its current version but is missing some of the newer sites we discovered on our journeys. Its even great for being a tourist in your own town. I do wish the creators could partner with Atlas Obscura for even more bizarre and interesting sites. This app has definitely made my friends and family discover far more interesting things to do for a birthday than just cake at home. Advice: give yourself plenty of time to get lost and really see all there is to see. And dont go with people (family) that get cranky when you do get lost. We went to see the dinosaurs in Elba, Alabama for my sisters birthday...oy! My iPhone map and cousins Google map were contradictory to each other AND the RA map/directions. We got totally lost. Had a lot of laughs and felt like we were on some wacky scavenger hunt so it was okay. I ended up unlocking the whole country just so we could plan future trips (and in case of mandatory hurricane evacuation).

It does show you everything to see. We used it several times, I wish it had a better way to show you when you are coming up to spots.

Love the app; I go on a lot of road trips so I always check the app for nearby POI. A suggestion; add an indicator for whether the locale is friendly or at least tolerant of dogs.

I love this app! Very useful for roadtripping. I dont really love that you have to buy it by region, but thats not a big deal. The only other thing is that one time I drove like an hour away from my hometown just to see a particular attraction, and there was another really cool one only seven miles away, but it didnt appear on my list until I was nearly home! I suppose it just couldve malfunctioned or my connection wasnt great. But overall I do really love this app.

I now plan all driving, and some air trips by Roadside America. I used to be so bored driving blindly across the cultural wastelands of our interstate system. Now I map out wondrous adventures off the beaten path. Pure bliss! Ive visited nearly 200 Roadside America listed attractions and look forward to driving now. Thanks RA!

thats not what I expected

I first read their book 30 years ago and have loved them ever since. Great for finding hidden gems while you are traveling...just get this!

Its quirky and a bit pricey, but no other app has expanded my trips as much.
